About Jasper

Jasper is a handsome four-year-old lurcher who is incredibly loving and affectionate and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. While he absolutely adores human company, he isn’t a fan of all dogs but is perfect with the ones he does like. He has recently spent some wonderful time in foster with a lookalike female lurcher and surprised us all by how he immediately clicked with this quiet girl and was so happy in her company. A successful meet and greet is essential if he is to share his home with a resident dog. We will not consider a home with cats for Jasper. A quiet home environment would actually suit him best, with walks in peaceful areas where he can relax and enjoy exploring without encountering too many other dogs. Country living suits him best as he feels uncomfortable in a busy urban setting with all the busy activity and associated noise. His fosterer however is currently making great progress with him by introducing him to calmer social spaces and taking him for spins in the car. With the right setting and a little understanding, Jasper will make a wonderful and devoted companion. He has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person or family to give him the chance he deserves.
