About Chief

2 year old Chief is a gentle, sweetheart of a lurcher who is currently enjoying the comforts of a great foster home. Still a bit nervous of the outside world, Chief is steadily gaining in confidence and coming out of his shell. His favourite thing to do is chill on the couch, preferably snuggled up close to his human where he can enjoy being cuddled. Chief has recovered from a broken leg injury and is not yet venturing out on walks owing to his recovery and his timidness. Sudden noises startle him but he is gradually getting used to normal household sounds. Chief can be left alone without issue either in a crate or without, is very food motivated and is so quiet you can forget he is even there. He needs a home with a nice big couch and a patient owner who will allow him to build trust and confidence. Chief is not suited to sharing his home with another dog or cat as he tends to resource-guard owing to his fearfulness. He needs a very special owner who is sympathetic to his fear-based behaviours and who is experienced enough with dogs to allow him feel relaxed and help him reach his full potential.
