Odie

About Odie

Odie is a one year old, timid small lurcher who is still learning how to trust humans. He is slow to approach and very wary of sudden movements so we can only imagine what kind of an early life he has experienced. He relaxes once contact is made with him, happily accepts petting, is very happy to head off for his walks and indeed walks very well on his lead. He is comfortable in his brother Argus's company (also listed on our website http://kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog/Argus) but of course it will be challenging to find a home looking for a pair of lurchers! However, the pair would keep each other happy in a home where they had to be left alone daily for a period of time. An experienced dog owner with the patience and time to help Odie adjust to this world is needed, in a home free of cats and very young children who might unintentionally frighten him. The garden must be fully secure with high fencing. A confident resident dog would be an advantage but this of course would be subject to a successful meeting.
